Running Biomechanics @ Langley Running Room

I (Dr. Jody Freedman) was excited to be asked back to the Langley Running Room to this time speak to a group of 10k runners on Running Biomechanics. We first covered the basics on what happens to your feet, knees, and hips when you run ... and then got into the fun stuff: What happens when things don't work right - Foot overpronation, back pain inhibiting leg extension, knee pain. We even had time to have a few runners have their gait assessed.Check out my handout for runners here. You will find information on typical running injuries and my 5 tips for improving your gait.Be sure to also check out the running groups and clinics at the Langley Running Room. Twilight and her excellent team do a fantastic job working with runners of all abilities. For years, we have been helping athletes in Langley & Surrey perform faster, stronger and injury free. If you have an injury holding you back, we can probably help.
